Good morning 2015!  EndorphinGirl™ is hoping bloggees have had a fabulous holiday season and an even better start to this exciting New Year!

As one resolution, EndorphinGirl™ is certainly committed to blogging more this year.  As she cleared off her desk, turned off her computer and packed up her bag this evening (at a time which was well into the evening) and she departed work for home, she had a moment of ‘yikes - still need to do the blog’.  But committed she is and she is ‘penning’ this blog at a less than respectable time.  No worries bloggees.  If she is committed to blog, she will blog.  And this commitment is to blog not just the random stuff.  Although the aforementioned sentences due appear to be heading in that direction.

Okay, she is taking stock at this very moment and will begin to blog.

Good morning 2015, indeed!  It is not morning, but it somehow seemed like a good way to start the blog.  And a good way to segue into the less than randomness she is prepared to blog about in the subsequent sentences.

While every year brings new resolutions, EndorphinGirl™

will confess she misses some of her old ones; her old resolutions.  Now this is an interesting thought.  Well in particular she is missing her daily ROCing.  While she believes it is a good thing to give the old buddy a rest (i.e., rest days are important) she really misses ROCing on a daily basis.  Frankly it is her hips that are starting to miss the ROCing even more.  But let the 'rest day's' prevail!

That said, she has now moved that energy towards one of her 2015 goals with her peeps.  Yes, that half marathon is quickly approaching.  In fact it is just a little over 2 weeks to go.  Isn’t it funny how the first, half-marathon (not the first half of the marathon – remember that humour from blogs past) but the first, half-marathon that she ran took up about 6 months of her blogging?  Whereas now that she is into the second, half marathon (not the second half of the marathon) she writes about it like it is a piece of pie.  Well don’t get this blog messaging wrong, it is not a ‘piece of pie’ to complete another half marathon.  She is training, very actively in fact, right now. Well not literally right now, but you get the idea.  While the daily ROCing is currently no more, her runs are longer and her pacing is quite good.  No doubt the year of ROCing has built up some healthy levels of endurance.  She has been running between 4 to 5 miles every couple of days.  So the training is under way.  But she still needs to have completed at least one 8-mile run before half marathon day.  Then she will feel ready.

Yes, that was a bit of blog rambling, however, the point she is trying to make is that it is always easier coming around the second time with anything.  That is why this half marathon is not getting as much blog attention, she supposes!  Oh but don’t be fooled, she is certainly planning on reaching out to her good friends Sera Tonin, Vita Min and Adreena Lin for some support in whatever way they are willing to share!

This first quater of 2015 seems to be filled with EndorphinFamily™ activity. In addition to the half marathon they will run together or at least run on the same day, they may not necessarily run together because the EndorphinKids™ are faster, there is another challenge also already underway.  Their  runtheedge challenge, which is to run 2,015 miles in 2015, started on January 1.  The EndorphinFamily™ has not yet synchronized their running with this challenge either.  It is not that they don’t want to run with one another, it is rather due to their individual busy schedules.  They plan to commit to run together at least one weekend day, one of these weekends beforeEndorphinDaughter™ heads back to school.  [Junior year of college is going way to quickly.]  Well EndorphinDaughter™ is actually off on her semester abroad soon.  More on that exciting travel tale soon, which will no doubt be filled with much endorphin' makin'.

As for the runtheedge challenge, between the team of three, they have run almost 40 miles since January 1. To be precise, they have run 39.4 miles.  Guess who is in the lead?  Oh, never mind this is not that kind of competition.  But EndorphinGirl™ will share that she is not the one in the lead. Their monthly goal is 167.9 miles, in order to reach 2,105 miles by the end of 2015.  They did not make this goal up, it is truly part of the runtheedge challenge.  [http://www.runtheedge.com/].  But, they will go along with it! [By the way are you wondering where EndorphinGuyis during all of this endophin' activity?  Well that is a good wonder; that is a good question? :) ]

So EndorphinGirl™ is feeling like she is finally getting her blogging groove back together.  That said, given the late hour, she is going to give herself a pass and blog off.  She will keep the blog grooving along as the weeks and months move on.  So please do stay tuned.

Oh one more thing.  Thank you bloggees for continuing to tune in weekly.  This January takes EndorphinGirl into her third year of blogging!  Hoot, hoot!  Thanks again.

Until next time, guest comments always welcome in guest book and keep on endorphin’.
