Happy New Year. One year is behind us and a new year is upon us. The year behind us concluded with a completion of the runtheedge challenge. Team Merry, Jingle & Naughty (aka the EndorphinFamily™) managed to run all 2,015 miles of the challenge in 2015. In fact, they closed out the year with a few extra miles. In total they ran 2,029.65 miles. It got extremely close as to whether or not they would complete the miles on time. Well truth be told while they were getting down to the wire, they were also working really hard to complete the challenge. At the proverbial 11th hour however EndorphinDaughter™ recalled that she had some unlogged miles from her time in Australia last May. As a result of those unlogged miles, the EndorphinFamily™ successfully completed their 2015 challenge, with a little cushion no less.
The year ahead will be full of new challenges. EndorphinGirl™ is planning on doing a minimum of a 10K each month for the next 12 months. At least that is what she thinks so far. The first one is scheduled for later in January. It will be the Fred LeBow run in Central Park that she and the EndorphinKids™ participated in last January. EndorphinSon™ is committed to join her for the Fred Le Bow run as well as to a run each month with her as well. EndorphinDaughter™ is starting to think about training for her next marathon, meanwhile.
EndorphinGirl™ has also decided to try another plank challenge. She plans to plank every day in 2016. She started on January first with a 60-second plank. Let’s see how far she gets in terms of ‘time’ per plank in 2016. She is committed at minimum to do at least a 60-second plank every day in 2016. EndorphinDaughter™ has joined her on this challenge.
The New Year always brings on new resolutions and challenges.
EndorphinGirl™ has shared some of hers and hopes to continuously refresh and add to her resolutions and challenges with all sorts of endorphin’ this year. She also hopes to get back to more of a blogging return again in 2016. So far she is still sticking to the second Tuesday of every month. She hopes some ‘prolific’ blogging resumes in 2016. Stay tuned.
EndorphinGirl™ has a lot of extra energy these days as she thinks about her rugrats who will be graduating in a few months from high school and college. They will soon be off to new adventures and new endorphin’ challenges. EndorphinGirl therefore needs to keep her endorphins in check too. Oh what a great year it will be.
Blogging off for now, but now without an EndorphinGirl™ image courtesy of EndorphinSon™.
Wishing all Endorphin friends a happy, healthy, endorphin’ year ahead. Until next time, keep on endorphin’ and guest comments still always welcomed.
