As you may know, Murphy's Law is an adage or epigram that is typically stated as: "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong" as specifically defined by Wikipedia.  It was just such a ‘Murphy’s Law’ week, (yes week, not day) so much so that EndorphinGirl™ decided she just has to accept it, embrace it, and get over it! So today’s blog may not be too prolific. . . since she is working on getting over the ‘its’ including getting over a minor running set-back for the next week!

For today's blog she decided to do some brainstorming on some quotes that might relate to the Murphy's Law thing or might not?  And note she said brainstorming in the literal sense as she is doing this solo. (Shouldn’t brainstorming be called brainsstorming – since the idea is to do this with more than one person?  Just a ponder!).

In the next under-3 minutes bloggees get a chance to read some ‘happy?’ funny? feel-good? quotes EndorphinGirl™ creates? or more likely borrows.  Well she is brainstorming as the blog is being written, so read on to see what quotes make it to the blog in the next 2 seconds!

Will Rogers
“Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there”.

M. K. Gandhi
“There is more to life than increasing its speed”.

Mark Twain
“The best way to cheer yourself is to cheer somebody else up”.

Aristotle
“Hope is the dream of the waking man”.

Abraham Lincoln

“In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.”

And just because she is just too funny not to include:

Ellen DeGeneres
“My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was sixty. She's ninety-seven now, and we don't know where the hell she is”.

And just because she wanted to be part of this quote thing:

EndorphinGirl™
“Accept it, embrace it, get over it”.

Along similiar lines, while home today nursing the minor running set-back issue, EndorphinGirl™ turned on the TV. On the screen was one of those afternoon talk shows (who knew there are so many); and Goldie Hawn appeared.  EndorphinGirl™ admires Goldie Hawn, she is not only such a funny comedienne she is also an inspiring person.  In one segment Goldie talked about gratitude and how gratitude can affect your life in such a positive way.  She shared briefly how research indicates that people who show gratitude not only are happier but also live longer.  EndorphinGirl™ agrees with Goldie.

Goldie also talked about the gratitude stone. The idea with a gratitude stone is to keep it in your pocket or purse and every
time you come across it, remind yourself of something / anything you are grateful for.  Goldie’s preference as is that of EndorphinGirl™’s is to carry a smooth stone, but it’s the stone-holder’s choice of course.

EndorphinGirl™ has more than her share of things to be grateful for, including that she has ‘accepted, embraced and let go’ of the Murphy's Law week; but even more so she could write a very long blog about all of her ‘gratitudes’.  But she's not going to do that, rather she's simply going to be grateful!

So that’s all she has for today.  And if you are so inclined,
go pick up a smooth-to-the-touch-gratitude-stone (oh yes, yes the type of stone is the stone-holder's choice :) ) from your yard or local park, and keep it in your pocket or purse.  Every time you touch it think about something you are grateful for.  Goldie does it, EndrophinGirl™ does it, maybe you want to do it too?  Especially if you come upon a Murphy's Law week or day, or even just because!
