EndorphinGirl™ was not going to keep blogging about the ROCing, at least until some more time passed.  However, this past Saturday, May 31st, she officially completed one-half year of ROCing.  Hoot hoot!  Stay tuned.

It is amazing that June is upon us.  For many reasons, but not the least of which is that the 10K she and EndorphinDaughter™ are running together is quickly approaching.  In fact it is only 2.5 weeks away.  While EndorphinGirl™ has been running a lot; she has not been running long distances, so there is work to be done.  It will be a busy 2.5 weeks.  She is working on being ready, but she feels nowhere near ready at this ‘writing’.

She is hoping that some of the gals will come into town for the 10K.  Yes, ‘the gals’ – Adreena Lin, Sera Tonin and Vita Min.  She would gladly accept their gracious support!

The EndorphinKids are both almost officially juniors in their respective academic areas.  Hoot, hoot!  While EndorphinDaughter™ has wrapped up the school year (so she is official), EndorphinSon has two more exams to go.  Hoot, hoot!  Let the summer endophin’ begin!  And bring on Junior year!

There are a number of endophin’ plans scheduled for the summer.  Last week’s blog mentioned the 10K (repeated above) and a bit about the Team Duffy Brain Cancer Awareness Walk (special blogging about that later this month); but there are a number of other anticipated plans for the summer.  The Endorphin Family plans to also do some K’s together.  Perhaps another 10K, or at least a handful of 5Ks, hey for that matter even some 3Ks are welcomed.  Yes, yes participants will include a collection of the Endorphin’s including son, daughter, EndorphinGirl™, Jack Steel, and some other family and friends.  It will be an endorphin fun in the sun summer!

CitiBiking is in full swing.  Gladly, the bikes survived the long cold and snowy, snowy winter.  Sadly, some of the bikes have a lot of wear and tear on them.  Hopefully, the Citi that never sleeps, keeps the CitiBiking a priority, including adding more bike lanes.  This CitiBiking is a great way to get your mornin’ endorphin’.  Hopping on a CitiBike to work in the morning is still a thrill for EndorphinGirl™; and Jack Steel too!

EndorphinDaughter™ has become an avid yoga ‘doer’.  That is so cool.  She ‘yogas’ (new word) every day for 50 minutes.  That is so cool!  (Yes, that is a repeat of the sentence!).  EndorphinGirl™ on the other hand continues with her regular Monday night yoga, and while it is ‘regular’ she has missed her yoga class for the past 4 weeks.  That is the longest she has gone in over 5 years without a weekly Monday class.  While missing the class was unavoidable, she has noticed the significant lack of bendiness!  Fortunately, last night she got back to her class and it was awesome.  She is getting back to being bendy!

In the spirit of yoga, a lovely yoga warrior pose image courtesy of EndorphinGirl™’s daughter!  Namaste!

Until next time, guest comments always welcome in guestbook and keep on endorphin’.
