Ah where to begin.  2014 is at the end.  EndorphinGirl™’s intention was to blog a year-in-review.  She is not sure however where this blog will take you and me - we.  As she looks back there is for sure much good that has happened; much endorphin’ that has happened; and as she looks back there is much sadness too.  Her intention, frankly, was to do a month-by-month, play-by-play of the endorphin’ happenings.  But as she looks back, particularly as she thinks back to the top of the year well into Q2, her reflection includes more sad than endorphin’ focused. Consequently she does not feel it in her to do a play-by-play.

She reminds herself too that as the year moved on her sadness moved to gratitude and appreciation.  Gratitude and appreciation of the time she had with her EndorphinDad; how lucky she was to have him for so long.

Reflection is therapeutic, reflection is a must, but it does not take away from the fact that reflection can trigger those memories of sad.  Perhaps the blog message here is that endorphin’, which for EndorphinGirl™ continued throughout her sadness, must continue always, and must continue beyond.  Because, yes because, all the endorphin’ throughout the saddest parts of the year certainly helped EndorphinGirl™ push through the sad days and also enjoy [perhaps even more] the happy ones with EndorphinDad.  The power of endorphin’ in whatever form you find that works for you, is good.  So so so good.  So please as you / we enter 2015 let's keep on endorphin’.

While 2014 has just a few more hours left to enjoy, EndorphinGirl™ may still get one more endorphin routine in, or not.  No matter, because 2015 is already lined up with a number of serious endorphin’ plans.  In fact one big one includes a cool activity with her EndorphinKids™.  Check out the challenge the three will do:  http://www.runtheedge.com/2014/12/run-2015-in-2015-challenge/.  They plan to ‘run the edge’. Ah the EndorphinFamily will be living 'on the edge' in 2015.  Nice!

In 2015 the Endorphin team plans to be part of the ‘edge’ challenge.  With this challenge, they will attempt to run 2015 miles in the year 2015.  So that is roughly 167.9 miles per month per team.  Divided by three team members that is ~ 55 miles each per month.  And if you keep breaking it down, frankly isn't it just 'a piece of cake' because it is less than 2 miles per day.

Their team needs a name, they are open for suggestions, perhaps it must have something to do with endorphin?  Send in a suggestion or two; feel free to include a suggestion for their team name in guestbook.  So what do bloggees think – is this a do-able challenge for the Endorphins?  Yeah, well they are feelin’ it.  Stay tuned.  Oh, and after you check out the link in the preceding paragraph, feel free to take on the challenge too!

The wholelife challenge will be back as well.  EndorphinGirl™ had a great 8 weeks on the challenge this past autumn, BUT once the holidays approached she lost her WLC groove and rhythm.  She needs it back and thinks the WLC will help her get her groovy back!  Here is the link to the WLC http://www.wholelifechallenge.com/ in case any bloggees would like to join along.  No pressure, but EndorphinGirl™ thinks it is one of the best challenges she has done so far!

Ah and how could she forget, first and foremost, the January 25th half marathon is quickly approaching.  EndorphinKids™ are in great shape and prepared.  EndorphinGirl is trying.  She has less than four weeks to get ready.  While she is not ROCing every day, when she does run, the runs are longer.  She is up to over 4 miles per run.  She needs to keep pushing; she needs to keep at it; she needs to stay focused.  She needs her epsom salt baths at least every other day.  She needs her heating pad daily.  She needs her streching constantly.  She needs to keep playing her new motto in her head.  Her motto this month, ah what the heck, her motto this year is taken from the movie Unbroken, “If you can take it you can make it”.  Ah she loves this quote.  She is making it official, this will be the quote EndorphinGirl™ borrows and lives by in 2015.

So the aforementioned is where the blog landed, and now where it ends.  Goodbye 2014.  EndorphinGirl™ is looking forward to 2015.

Until then, until her first blog of the new year, check out the latest EndorphinGirl™ image, courtesy of EndorphinGirl™’s son; the image ties in with the quote – ah yes the quote – those are fighting words!  Get it?

Meanwhile, guest comments always welcome in guest book (ah come on give her comment or two, or a team name suggestion) and keep on endorphin’.

Be proud of all your 2014 endorphin' accomplishments.  Happy New Year!
