There are many topics that EndorphinGirl™ can blog that relate to the endorphin-enhancement activity.  Naturally exercise is a big part of that process as is laughter.  They continue to be covered week-in-week-out as bloggees read.  Yet things such as sunshine, turquoise colored beaches, or a windy- and rainy-beach day for instance can trigger the endorphins too.  As can a 10-minute peddle jumper flight with arrival on a narrow landing strip gliding through two cliffs.  Clearly all are endorphin-enhancers and especially when these elements and events are found on a place like St. Barts.  Truth be known the absence of EndorphinGirl™’s blog last Friday was for a birthday excursion to the pretty French island.  (Merci, merci beaucoup Jack Steel, merci!)

The color theme of the trip which started from JFK
International Airport in New York on an early morning Jet Blue flight, seemed to be blue!  They had a transfer in St. Maarten’s where EndorphinGirl™ and Jack Steel were escorted by Ashton to the small peddle jumper WinAir flight.  That 'aircraft' had capacity for only about 10 people, with ‘no standing room.’  As the pilots started the plane, the propellers gave off tremendous sound as it took off and both pilots held on to a pull switch handle with full strength.  They kept holding onto that handle until the plane was up and steady!  As a noticing passenger, thankfully not all passengers noticed this, EndorphinGirl™ got an adrenalin rush!  While the flight was under 15 minutes over the beautiful turquoise waters of the Caribbean the landing on the narrow strip, descending between two cliffs, further erupted in another adrenalin- rather than endorphin-rush. Yet, what an amazing picturesque view; with experience only to be replayed on the homebound route.

Once the adrenalin settled, the days in St. Bart were filled with much endorphiness and much happiness and even a bit more adrenalin (more on that adrenalin-enhancement in a minute).  The weather was somewhere in between sunny, rainy and really overall perfect.  The waters no matter the weather remained that deep turquoise blue – and so so clear. For the travel occasion, EndorphinGirl™ even painted her finger and toe nails the same Caribbean turquoise blue.  She blended nicely into the waters when she and Jack Steel went swimming!  And she even received some turquoise colored (i.e., are you getting the blue theme thing?) gifts for the occasion from Jack Steel.

The lovely lodging arranged by Jack Steel was situated on a private beach with a view of the gorgeous Caribbean ocean. The Caribbean winds were quite active during their stay which brought wind surfers and kite surfers daily.  Although she and Jack Steel did not try the wind activities, EndorphinGirl™ loves the wind and any, absolutely any, wind-related activity!

They had a chance to take the 20-minute hike to Colombier beach a secluded St. Bart’s beach accessible only by foot or
boat.  The hike was a bit steep yet beautiful and along the way they fell upon beautiful butterflies and turtles and
other sea creatures; and yet another view perspective of the sparkling blue Caribbean waters.  And, even more spectacular was the chance to swim in the beautiful unpopulated clear waters.

St. Barts is a very hilly and cliffy and winding island.  The main road to travel upon is quite narrow and tricky to drive.  In fact all of the roads are that way.  EndorphinGirl™ and Jack Steel had a chance to do some of their own driving on these roads.  The roads were less inviting after 7 p.m. when dark fell upon the island and the winding roads were even trickier to navigate.  The adrenalin once again probably more so than the endorphins kicked in on these winding, narrow-road drives – but the surroundings were so pretty the adrenalin rush was ever so temporary.  And Jack Steel did a fantastic job navigating around the pretty island of St. Barts.

The clean, clear ocean breeze heightened ideas for EndorphinGirl™’s next endorphin-enhancing goal-setting activity.  She’s not ready to give it away yet, and will blog more once the idea fully solidifies.

And finally, their last evening in St. Barts included a private birthday dinner for the two arranged by the hotel in a secluded area overlooking a moonlit ocean.  Singing crickets were in hidden attendance along with intermittent-exciting- thunderstormy-rain-occasionally-blowing through the pretty wood-shuttered windows.  Quite a spectacular evening, quite a spectacular trip, quite a spectacular Jack Steel!  Lots of endorphiness, lots of happiness flowing!

Today's image is courtesy of EndorphinGirl™'s son.  She is sporting new boxing gloves, perhaps this is the new endorphin-enhancer activity, perhaps it is not!  Bloggee please draw your own conclusion!

Meanwhile, guest comments always welcome in guestbook and keep on endorphin'.
