Well it is good to be back. Really good to be back. Really, much has transpired for EndorphinGirl™ these past weeks and it is so good to be back. Where to begin. Well let’s take it from the top. This blog will be in two parts first a bit of an update about some endorphin stuff that’s been happening. Then an update on what’s been goin’ down otherwise over the past weeks.
On the endorphin’. Well today Day 60 of the ROC has been completed. Do bloggees remember? ROC is run-one-club – one mile that is. This challenge was for the month of December. However, once January 1st rolled around EndorphinGirl™ found herself not able to stop running. And she has continued now running at least one-mile – well yes – mostly only one mile a day. Almost 2 months under her belt. Will or will she not continue? That is the question.
At the same time EndorphinGirl™’s daughter picked up the challenge and started her own ROC for the month of January and she is planning to continue beyond as well. Also, she is in training for her first full marathon. Despite the super cold subzero temperatures in Michigan daughter is running outside and inside. And her buddy Tyler-dude is going to do the full marathon as well – so they are training together. Go Blue Kids!
While EndorphinGirl™ was not sure what her next challenge would be following last year’s half marathon, she fell into the ROC. Let’s see what else is in store.
So last December the Endorphin family was unpleasantly surprised with some news about EndorphinGirl™’s dad who has taken quite ill. While it is never an easy situation to deal with, EndorphinGirl™ was reflecting during this evening’s run (you know the ROC run) how powerful the power of endorphin family love is. EndorphinGirl™’s Dad has been a trooper, supper duper trooper patient keeping strong and with a fantastic attitude. No doubt all those years of endorphin have paid off. EndorphinGirl™’s Mom has been a rock, really solid, yes solid like a rock. EndorphinGirl™’s siblings have been seamlessly stepping in and stepping out and showing their endorphin love and support. And the extend family including those great endorphin grandkids and in-laws and otherwise have been rock solid as well. EndorphinGirl™was thinking – wow the power of family. They have always been an endorphin' family in one form or another. What is mostly amazing is the attitude of one and all – the super duper positive attitude that EndorphinGirl™’s Dad and Mom have flows through the others too. While the journey continues, the attitude – yes you know the ‘tude’ is making a world of difference. And that family of hers . . . she thinks all their past endorphin’ has played a role and thinks future endorphin’ in one form or another will only be a good thing. So keep on endoprhin’ family! She is proud of one and all!
It's late and it seems she back to her late night blogging - so she is signing off for now. Until next blog time, guest comments always welcome in guestbook, check out EndorphinGirl™ image (thanks EndorphinSon) and ‘keep on endorphin’.
