EndorphinGirl™’s is blogging just a ‘brief’ tonight – as they say in legalese!
How did EndorphinGirl™ get endorphed this week:
First: Michael J. Fox made her laugh. Not only does he make EndorphinGirl™ and others laugh, he can laugh at himself. This is an amazing attribute. One scene she will share that she is still laughing about from his new show follows! So he is a Channel 4 newscaster on a sick leave. He is enticed to return to work by a coworker. He says to the 'trying-to-entice-him-back-to-work colleague’ - really?, how can I go back to work when my chair won’t stay stable when ‘broadcasting’ the news. Then the show moves to a clip that shows his chair moving while he is on air reporting the news. More specifically the chair shakes its way off camera, and moves back and forth and back and forth in front of the camera while MJF is reporting the news. It is the Parkinson shakes. While it is not funny to laugh at Parkinsons; it is refreshing and funny to laugh at him laughing at himself. This created an endorphin-exaggerated state for EndorphinGirl™ because he takes a serious issue, accepts it, makes fun of self in relation to it. . . well you get the idea.
Oh okay then there are some other scenes such as when he tries to dial 917 (the area code) but dials 911; a misdial which is again because of the shakes. In his brief chat with the operator he tells her it’s a misdial that he called and thinks he has cancelled his 911 call. But the police still show up! Another funny moment. . . not the least of which is because EndorphinGirl™ once tried to cancel a 911 because of a sort of misdial! Well that is a story for another time. Yes, the impact Michael J. Fox has (and has had over many years) on enhancing endorphins is immense!
Second: yoga. Not to be repetitive, but yoga, yoga, yoga
really gets the endorphins going. But it only happens when the right Yoga instructor is involved! As she said, not to be repetitive because it was already ‘blogged’ about
this week – i.e., the story about the returning yoga instructor, she still had to include it. Yes yoga produces a lot of endorphin peace!
Third: the exercise. Yeah, it always continues. This week one of the 30 day shred ‘day’s had to be skipped because of early morning work start, and late evening work finish. However, in the spirit of the importance of endorphin’ EndorphinGirl™ still managed to get some exercise activity in on the day she missed the shred. She walked about 3 miles around Manhattan from one meeting to the next. Well the meetings were spread around town, and rather than CitiBiking, she walked and walked and walked some more. Yeah, a good dose of endorphins happened that day!
