Ode to EndorphinGirl™’s Daughter /Junior Year

It's happened again in the blink of an eye
The summer has passed and now junior year has arrived

A junior a junior, my girl is entering her junior year
It follows a summer that has kept her near

It first started in May in the marathon way
Pittsburgh bound in Tyler's car traveled the three from Ann Arbor after the cold winter stay

The Marathon compete

Mia and Tyler did complete

Yan retired his Pittsburgh marathon cheer I hear

And picked up some run shoes this summer and he did wear

The Pittsburgh three then drove to Gotham City

Oh the car ride was so pretty

At last daughter was back in the hood

The boys stayed for a brief visit that was good

The farewell to Gramps was a very hard time that we all share

A heart of gold and how he did care

A brief trip to the land of the midnight sun followed

It subdued some sorrow for some tomorrows

Training for the next marathon also began

And another summer at the Nike Run Shop was in the plan

The Union Square market job was also a repeat

The Finnish ruis bread, ah you just can't compete

A brief visit by Jen to play tourists for a day

They explored Gotham in a cool college kid way, I would say

Reconnecting with the high school gal pals was awesome to do

Maggie and Lauren and Gabby and others too

Some family time at the beach was required before the junior year journey

Ah where has the time gone since Bert and Ernie

Major now declared, semester abroad in the plan

Junior year is here and new roomies will be quite the klan

Oh junior, my junior

The journey has only just begun

Stay happy, be peaceful and have lots of fun

[oh yea and good luck with yet another run!]

The end all of feminine Super Heroes, Endorphin Girl fights unhappiness, depression, aches and pains and basically anything that doesn't feel like your entire body has just burst through the event horizon of a black hole at a final climactic radar gun read of 187,000 miles per second only to discover that beyond the speed of perfect love lies an alternate universe with a full cooler of ice cold anything you desire to quench the sweet lava like oozing fire in your love parched throat as well as hot bags of tacos, buffalo wings and Fritos, with nary a complaint about crumbs or eating in bed, followed by the nap of the millennium and a wake up full body massage
