EndorphinGirlhas blogged in the past about laughter and it’s affect on endorphins. This evening she and her EndorphinGirl daughter had the benefit of getting endorphed by some gut-busting laughter at a comedy show at a small comedy house on Bleeker Street, right off of the corner of Lafayette Street. The comedian who she would like to promote is named Trevor Noah.  He grew up in South Africa during apartheid and brings this and many other topics about the human race to comedy in such a funny manner.  Like hilarious funny, uproarious laughter funny, yes yes just side-splitting funny.

Trevor provided some endorphin magic this evening.  As they left the theatre smiling ear-to-ear, there was a full-moon above, and the EndorphinGirl(s) managed to skip the 15 blocks home on an endorphin-like high.  Skip as in hop, skip, jump, not skip as in omit!  Ah, EndorphinGirl is now trying to be a comedienne with the cleverness of that last sentence.  Ha, ha!  Well the laughter was true endorphin magic.  Not only was a major dose of endorphins produced this evening by the laugher Trevor’s comedy show brought on, the lingering ear-to-ear smiles they wore the 15 blocks which they skipped home also produced endorphins.  Yes smiling is an endorphin producer too.  Ah endorphin magic indeed.

Switching topics now, today celebrated the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere.  While it is the longest day in the year in terms of daylight, and it lasts but a minute, it too brings on endorphins in its own right.  EndorphinGirl is not going to get carried away with this section.  Although she believes she could write a lot about the summer solstice she is going to keep it short and to three points as to how it relates to endorphins.  Point one:  summer solstice equals extended sunshine, particularly if it is a sunny day.  Point two:  summer solstice is the start of summer which means summer holidays.  Point three:  from this day for the next 6 months each day will be shorter by one minute until the winter solstice.  The relation to endorphins bloggee may be wondering?  Point one: extended sunshine translates to happy feelings, happy feelings release endorphins.  Point two: summer holidays equal happy times, happy times equals released endorphins.  Point three:  the Northern Hemisphere is directionally heading into winter, winter makes EndorphinGirl happy, happy produces endorphin. Okay summer solstice also known as midsummer gets credit for contributing to endorphin enhancement.  Isn't it so clear!  Bloggee of course may see it as you will, but EndorphinGirl thinks so.

It’s happened again.  Another busy day for EndorphinGirl and her blogging is taking place quite near the bewitching hour.  While it is ‘officially’ summer she has not yet benefited from those so called ‘summer Friday’s’ someone, somewhere at some U.S. company came up with.  These are the half day Fridays some company’s warrant so ‘employee’ can get a head start on the weekend; just as long as the work time is made up otherwise during the week.  They are quite special as a concept.  Today though was not a 'summer Friday.'  Well yes yes it was a Friday in summer but not a 'summer Friday'.  Ah there she goes again trying that comedienne stuff.  Had it been a 'summer Friday' perhaps her blog would already be blogged!  In fact it was a super busy work Friday, combined with a super busy evening.  Yet if the evening wasn't busy she would not have seen Trevor perform.  If she had not seen Trevor perform she may have had time to blog earlier but would she have had anything to blog about?  Ah!  It is nearing the bewitching hour indeed.  So she will blog off shortly.  Okay she will blog off now.

But first, today's image is courtesy of EndorphinGirl 's son and EndorphinGirl is shown laughing!

Oh, one last thing.  The EndorphinGirl shop will be open on Tuesday with actual sample items.  Stay tuned!

Meanwhile, guest comments always welcome in guestbook and keep on endorphin’.
