One of the EndorphinKids™ is heading back to school this week. And it is her final year of college. WHAT? So in the annual tradition of the 'back to school' poem, this blog is mostly a 'poem' blog and is dedicated to one of the EndorphinKids™ (aka daughter). Just wait until you start college other EndorphinKid™ (aka son).
Before the poem starts, on a very serious 'endorphin' note, it should be 'noted' that the Endophins have completed over 1197.96 miles of running for the https://www.facebook.com/RunTheEdge.
There are four more months to go and they need to run only 817.04 miles, which is an average of 204.26 miles each month. On it!
Now let the poem begin.
Senior Year
Senior year is
here
Senior year is here
Oh no my dear
Oh no my dear
It is your final year
The suitcases clutter the living room floor
Just a few more days and you will be out the door
Delta flight is confirmed
Apartment, furnished!, is the new home for the year
Roomie Jen has graduated and a new roomie in tow
Heather, familiar roomie, is a go go go
Freshman year roomies and dormies
They are seniors too
Cassandra, Yan, Tyler
Just to name a few
Ann Arbor is waiting for you my dear
UMichigan senior year is really here
Soon the campus will be movin'
Senior year will be full of groovin'
Your classes this year sound very cool
Campus activity will no doubt also rule
Fall semester will be filled with football too
You know I will be there at a game with you
We know this Thanksgiving weekend home game is a win
Good night Ohio State, Go Blue, says she with a grin
Good luck with your Detroit marathon training these coming weeks
You will nail it, listen, mamma speaks
But mostly enjoy the classes, your friends, the special times this year
Spend it capturing forever memories with those who are dear
The memories and friendships will be lifetime worthy
Oh the author of this poem is teary eyed absurdly
Be proud of all you have accomplished to date
Be excited about all you will accomplish, I know you cant wait
Senior year is here
Senior year is here
Simply put
Enjoy it my dear
Enjoy it my dear
Love,
Your momma
