EndorphinGirl has just finished day 19 of shredding. There is actually some evidence of shredding, and some noticeable ‘formatting’ okay scratch that - 'reshaping' of the mid extremities!  Again it’s minuscule but she feels it and she’s happy!  She has also recently started 'experimenting' with some ‘weight’ training.  Just a bit but she is enjoying the change in routine and using the new ‘tools’.  Let’s see where these take her!

EndorphinGirl, and Jack Steel too, continue to CitiBike to/fro work as well as travelled via CitiBike Saturday night to the movie theatre to see Wolverine!  On that ‘Citibike’ theme, EndorphinGirl shares Citibike Tip #7. Here goes:

Tip 7 – If you have not noticed it yet, on the ‘stem’ ‘anchor’ whatever it is called of the seat there are numbers.  When adjusting the seat you can adjust to a number to get to the right height.  Remember your number so that next time you get your Citibike you can easily set your seat ‘height’.  Got that?  Tip courtesy of Jack Steel!  Thanks Jack!

On another note, it has been one of those less-than-endorphin-filled days. Translation – she needed more endorphins to deal with some of the everyday stuff that overfilled the day with annoyances! Just one of those days. It happens. You know the stuff most of us ‘get’ to deal with! :)  She has decided however that rather than spending too much time replenishing endorphins by blogging in order to release the annoyances instead she is going to go and do something physical.  As much as she loves blogging her body is calling for the physical approach to endorphin replenishment.  And before she ‘gets physical’ she will leave you with some quotes she likes as reminder frankly to herself, and if you enjoy them too even better! [footnote: she had only intended to leave you with a few quotes but got a little carried away and included more than a few in the spirit of being ‘grateful!]

[‘Grateful’] Quotes:

  • “Piglet noticed that even though he had a Very Small Heart, it could hold a rather large amount of Gratitude.”
     A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
  • “Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”
     Marcel Proust
  • “Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.”
     Ralph Waldo Emerson
  • “Let gratitude be the pillow upon which you kneel to say your nightly prayer. And let faith be the bridge you build to overcome evil and welcome good.”
Maya Angelou, Celebrations: Rituals of Peace and Prayer
  • “Sometimes life knocks you on your ass... get up, get up, get up!!! Happiness is not the absence of problems, it's the ability to deal with them.”
Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free
  • “In the end, though, maybe we must all give up trying to pay back the people in this world who sustain our lives. In the end, maybe it's wiser to surrender before the miraculous scope of human generosity and to just keep saying thank you, forever and sincerely, for as long as we have voices.”
Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia
  • “You pray in your distress and in your need; would that you might pray also in the fullness of your joy and in your days of abundance.”
     Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
  • “Walk as if you are kissing the Earth with your feet.”

Thích Nht Hnh, Peace Is Every Step: The Path of Mindfulness in Everyday Life
  • “We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.”
     Thornton Wilder
  • “Some people grumble that roses have thorns; I am grateful that thorns have roses.”
     Alphonse Karr
  • “If the only prayer you said was thank you, that would be enough.”
     Meister Eckhart
