EndorphinGirl™ has been on overdrive. So much so that she is not even clear about the condition of her very own ‘endorphins’. There is so much blog catch up to do that she frankly does not know where to begin. So let’s start here.
The runtheedge is still going strong. The EndorphinFamily clocked in almost at their goal for the month. They collectively ran 167.03 miles in the month of April. This included some run-time down under for two of the three team mates! In total year-to-date, they have collectively clocked 559.23 miles. They are more than one quarter of the way complete in the runtheedge challenge. To be precise, they have completed 28 percent of the challenge. Oh yeah!
This past weekend, EndorphinGirl™ and her number one EndorphinSon™ added miles to the challenge for the month of May. They completed a ‘mother’s day’ 10K on Roosevelt Island in Manhattan. EndorphinSon™ thought it would be a nice mother’s day gift for his EndorphinGirl™ mom, and it was. And he proudly took second place in his age group!
One part of their team was sorely missed, EndorphinGirl™’s daughter, aka EndorphinDaughter™ who is still down under. She is still working her own endorphin challenges, oh and finishing up her semester at school too. One more month and she will home.
EndorphinGirl™ is anxiously awaiting the return of EndorphinDaughter™. No doubt they will find some endorphin adventures over the summer. Meanwhile, EndorphinDaughter™, continues to explore the land down under and some. She has continued to contribute to the runtheedge miles, in fact quite actively. EndorphinGirl™ will still not reveal who is in the runtheedge lead. Ah, but it doesn’t really matter! Or does it?
The Endorphins have also planned some ‘aggressive’ run mileage activity for October. Yes it is a bit far away, but is it really? And she is just letting bloggees know that EndorphinDaughter™ has committed to, in fact signed up for, the Detroit Marathon. EndorphinGirl™ and EndorphinSon™ have committed to run the LBI 18-mile run (the distance of the Island), both runs are in October. Frankly, for EndorphinGirl™ the reason she is blogging about it is so she publicly commits to it. Let's see how that goes! So they will be clocking some serious mileage towards the runtheedge challenge, that month. Well at least two of the three family members will for sure!
It has been just a year since EndorphinDad aka EndorphinGramps left us. It is hard to believe how fast and sometimes slow the time has gone. The EndorphinFamily and extended family continue to keep his memory front and center, and alive. In fact when thinking about EndorphinDad it puts a smile on your face. There are endless funny stories that while they are committed to memory, when thought about can make you laugh, and laugh, and laugh. Laughter brings endorphins. Ah, he is forever with the EndorphinFamily. FOR EV ER!
There is so much to blog about. So so much to blog about. No doubt bloggees want some updates on Vita Min, Sera Tonin, Artha Ritis, Adrena Lin and the gang. It is coming. No doubt bloggees want an update on the promised ‘bench’ story. It is coming. No doubt bloggees want an update on EndorphinGuy™. It is coming. Lots more blogging in store.
Meanwhile, she truly must allow her endorphins to get some rest. Well she is still ‘recovering’ from a 10K, and has another scheduled for the end of the month, so hopefully you will cut her some slack.
Meanwhile, check out this happy image of EndorphinGirl™, courtesy of EndorphinSon™. Until next time, guest comments always welcome in guestbook and keep on endorphin’.
