Inspiration is surely an endorphin-enhancer. It comes from so many places, in so many forms, in so many ways. Sometimes expected. Sometimes unexpected.
In the past week there has been a lot of inspiration out there for EndorphinGirl™. Of course there was the half-marathon, but that’s already been covered. She otherwise finds it every day in many ways. Some as simple as seeing someone encourage another, sometimes as profound as hearing about someone succeed against all odds or sometimes thinking about those from present day who inspire or those from long ago who still inspire.
Every day there is something. There must be something. This past week included plenty of inspiration for EndorphinGirl™.
There is always mega inspiration from her children. This week her daughter’s completion of a second half- marathon, working so hard to find a summer job, recognition she achieved university honors (i.e., dean’s list equivalent) during freshman year, and doing all kinds of helpful things around the ‘home’land (i.e., living quarters) were all inspiring!
Her son continuing to work really hard in school while managing a long daily commute throughout the entire school year, and for showing such gratitude of appreciation (that's a double positive affirmation) when his EndorphinGirl™ mom signed him up for skateboard camp - inspiring. EndorphinGirl™ was especially inspire-touched when he expressed that childlike happiness you always want to see in your kid; she had not seen this in him for some time.
Jack Steel who inspires in his Jack Steel loving way, sharing a believe-anything-is-possible way of living and a generous heart that means so much.
EndorphinGirl™ parents as they continue to share their endorphin adventures which include clocking 8-mile walks in their local park, or chosing the stairs over the elevator when going up to their apartment, or just simply being such good role models.
EndorphinGirl™’s sister who exemplifies qualities that
go beyond what others can only hope to achieve.
EndorphinGirl™’s angel niece in heaven and her amazing
mom. Her angel niece touched so many people in her short life leaving a profound legacy that includes the inspiration of boundless determination; which has carried forward
so many years later. And her mom who has a way of making her positive and energetic way infectious. EndorphinGirl™ has known angel's mom since childhood and she remain
this way in spite of heartaches that should not be. Inspiring!
And today the new world trade center (i.e., newly named Freedom Tower) became the tallest tower in the western hemisphere. An inspiring return to EndorphinGirl™’s city and an inspiring remembrance in honor of the lost boys from her hometown!
These people and many more inspire EndorphinGirl™. She hopes that every so often she can share a dose of inspiration to others in return.
